When posting on social media for your business, instead of sharing random content whenever you feel like it, we encourage you to define your strategy and stick to it. An article on buffer.com says: “A strategy is not a to-do list,” and “A strategy is where you’re headed, a plan is how you’ll get there.”
Ask these questions when creating your strategy:
- Why do you want to be on social media?
- Who is your target audience?
- What are you going to share?
- Where are you going share?
- When are you going share?
You should be constantly tracking, evaluating, and evolving. Rather than posting on social media just for the sake of posting, a social media strategy requires you to look at the big picture, helping you reach your goals.
Previously “social media tips,” our tech tips will focus on various ways to use technology within your business, with topics related to social media, data and measurements, tools, and storytelling. They are inspired by the Chamber’s new “Tech Talks,” which are monthly discussions around advanced strategies for marketing your business. Contact us if you’d like to be involved.
