The Venango Chamber is the voice of the business community, working to remove barriers to business progress and promoting opportunity for business success. Our advocacy efforts include:
- Community Advocacy – Identify community issues that can be improved by the sharing of information and advancement of a pro business agenda.
- Business Advocacy – Identify issues that directly impact Chamber members and local business, convene stakeholders and provide business representation (Learn more)
- Legislative Advocacy – Serve as a connector of information on legislative issues to elected officials.
The Venango Area Chamber of Commerce is nonpartisan in its approach and does not endorse or oppose legislation based upon political party philosophies or political party sponsorship. The Chamber does not endorse or support candidates for public office. All elected and appointed officials are welcome to comment and provide information on legislative issues to the Advocacy Committee and the Board of Directors
The Venango Area Chamber of Commerce supports a sound process to identify workable solutions to problems facing businesses and the broader community.
The leadership of the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce believes that the Chamber’s role as a business organization is to welcome and nurture a diverse membership from all political, ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds. We serve as a forum where business people from these various backgrounds can come together and work on real solutions for the challenges that face businesses and the broader community they serve.
The Chamber often brings business and elected officials together by hosting meetings and Forums. The Venango Chamber also joins with other chambers in our region and state to identify issues deemed important to the economic health of the region and the state.
Most recently the Chamber took a leadership role in convening local business to communicate the value of the four lane highway between Barkeyville and Franklin to PennDot and State legislators (learn more).
