Tech Tip: Having a Call to Action

Spending time and effort on your marketing is important, but it doesn’t make as much of an impact without a call to action.  A call to action is an invitation for a person to take some desired action. They can (and should) be included in social media posts, website content, videos, and even printed writing and advertising.

Before you create your call to action, consider what goal you’re trying to achieve? Do you want people to click on a link to read your blog post, visit a page on your website, engage with your social media post, sign up for your email list, or visit your store?

Then, create a short and sweet line to encourage the person to do so. Try to avoid only using boring phrases like “click here.” Instead, be creative. Such as:

  • Book your next adventure
  • Join our community
  • Sign up for free
  • Visit us today

People are more likely to interact with you and become customers if you give them motivation to do so. We encourage you to consider how you can add a call to action to each message you share with your followers.
