eAcademy Prepares for Second Year

The Venango County Economic Development Authority is preparing for the eAcademy’s second year and remains optimistic that the program will be able to take place at Clarion University Venango Campus in person in the fall.

However, if the pandemic will not allow this to happen, the program has began designing an online curriculum. The eAcademy’s first year students attended field trips to local businesses, engaged with community leaders and entrepreneurs, and volunteered for local organizations.

“Learning about the community and local businesses was the students’ favorite part of the program. We could not have done it without the support of the businesses and leaders,” said Instructor Taylor Snyder.

If the program is not able to meet in person, they will work with businesses to try to provide these experiences online. The year will start in September of 2020 and high school seniors are still eligible to apply. Please email tsnyder@co.venango.pa.us or call (814)432-9677 for more information.
