Cranberry Festival Children’s Activities

The 8th Annual Cranberry Festival offers games and activities to area children at no cost to their parents and families. All festival events take place on Saturday, September 19th at Morrison Park in Seneca, unless otherwise noted.

Prior to the festival, the Cranberry Mall will feature “Jungle Terry’s Traveling Zoo” on Tuesday, September 15th from 6-8pm. Walk together as a family for your chance to win free pizza and movie passes, and enjoy an interactive presentation by Jungle Terry. See safari animals like snakes, turtles, alligators, and more in person, and even pet them, too!

Also on Tuesday, September 15th, Fisher and Father will hold a “Zero Turn Obstacle Course Tractor Race” from 2-6pm. A $2 entry fee per try will benefit the children’s activities at the festival. Be the fastest thru the obstacle course to win prizes. Prizes will be awarded by Fisher & Father. A John Deer Zero Turn Tractor will be provided.

This year’s lineup of games and fun at Morrison Park will begin at 10am and conclude at 6pm on Saturday, September 19th. Come early because prizes run out fast! The games this year include the always popular bouncy inflatables, face and hair painting, Home Depot® crafts, a corn dig, and much more.

The “Hunt for Cranberry Red” scavenger hunt, will take place in Morrison Park between 11am and 5pm. Children will have to “hunt” for clues related to Cranberry Red and bring their completed registration forms back to the info booth for a prize. Registration forms will be available at the info booth area.

Dexter the Clown will be performing from 10am until 6pm in the Children’s Area, doing an extremely goofy clown show. His show will compliment balloon artist, Isaac Grove, who will be creating balloon masterpieces for children to take home. Isaac will be doing shows from 11am until 4pm in the Children’s Area in Morrison Park.

Children will also enjoy the fantastic “Petting Zoo” area setup in the park. Many different animals will be on site including exotic and farm animals. Children will have the opportunity to pet and play with the animals, as well as feed some of them. The Petting Zoo will be open from 11am until 5pm.

Extremely brave children will have a chance to showcase their strength in the 4th Annual Children’s Fear Factor competition. The competition involves stability challenges, timed races, and extreme eating contests. The competition takes place in the large pavilion on the hill in the park at 3pm.

Children of all ages will enjoy the Touch-a-Truck event at the Cranberry Mall from 7-9pm on Saturday, September 19th. The event will feature large trucks of all kinds, heavy equipment, and many unique vehicles for children to explore.
