Klapec Trucking Company Named 2022 Business of the Year
The Venango Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced that Klapec Trucking Company (KTC) has been named the 2022 Business of the Year. This is an incredible accomplishment for this family-owned business, which has been providing transportation solutions in Northwestern Pennsylvania and beyond since 1949.
Klapec Trucking Company has worked hard to earn their reputation as a leader in the trucking industry, and they were recently recognized by the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association (PMTA) with the 2021 Fleet Safety President’s Award.
KTC knows the importance of technology for businesses and has used it to their advantage. They’ve invested in modernizing with state-of-the art GPS tracking systems, giving them a competitive edge through faster delivery times, improved accuracy and reduced costs – all while providing jobs and reliable transportation solutions to their many customers.
In 2021, KTC turned the run-down former Kmart building at 1355 Allegheny Boulevard into a state-of-the-art facility. After months of hard work and skillful refurbishing, they created 80,000 square feet of secure warehouse or manufacturing space that is temperature controlled with advanced insulation systems for optimal performance – all compliant with safety codes. It’s an inspiring transformation from eyesore to attractive modern asset ready for use!
KTC continues to strengthen their workforce through personalized training programs, emphasizing safety and customer service. The Chamber has felt that support, through KTC’s championing of the Leadership Venango program. KTC has now sent seven employees through the program, and plans to continue doing so into the future.
By demonstrating leadership throughout the organization and investing in their staff, they have reinforced their position as an industry leader with Susan Williams, President of the Venango Chamber acknowledging, “Klapec Trucking Company’s investment proves vital for our region’s future”.

Klapec Trucking Company’s recent recognition as Business of the Year by the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce is well deserved! They have demonstrated tremendous success over many years thanks to their dedication towards expanding capacity, utilizing modern technology, investing in training programs for employees, and most importantly prioritizing safety first!
