CU Serve, a Clarion University student organization based at Venango Campus, won the Special Group Award at the University’s 24th Annual Equity Awards on November 14, in recognition of their dedication and commitment to equity.
CU Serve (formerly SEED Club) has been an integral part of the student life heartbeat at Venango Campus since the 2000s. Their purpose is to connect and engage students through fellowship and service learning experiences that provide them with opportunities to grow their understanding of the world.
Annually, CU Serve participates in activities and events at Venango Campus and beyond, including campus programming, such as their NOLA Campus Fest and Cultural Arts event, service projects across the county, and an annual service trip.
CU Serve will host a dinner fundraiser on Wednesday, December 5, from 4-7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church’s Community Wing, 215 East Bissell Avenue in Oil City, PA, to support their spring break service trip to New Orleans.
