Kelly is an Optometrist at Wagner Family Eye Care and is from Utica, PA. She holds an O.D. from Indiana University School of Optometry and a B.S. in Pre-Professional Natural Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She graduated from Franklin Area High School and is glad to be back in the area post higher education.
At IUP, she was a member of the Robert E. Cook Honors College, a Poetry Group Leader, Summer Honors Program Counselor, and a Supplemental Instructor for Human Anatomy. In Optometry School, she was a VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity) Fundraising Chair, a VIPS (Visually Impaired Preschool Students) Counselor, and was involved in multiple service trips to Mexico to provide eyecare to underprivileged individuals.
Her goals for the future include becoming more involved in both the Venango County and the optometric community. She enjoys helping with community events, has a drive to support small businesses, and encourages others to visit our community.
In her personal life, she likes spending time with her dog, gardening, cooking, watching live-music, learning new languages, and being a “cool aunt.” She looks forward to attending local fairs and festivals and has even gotten to judge one before, the Rock-In-River Festival Stone-Skipping Tournament! She thrives in Venango County’s “abundance of nature on our doorstep” and enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, and birdwatching.
“I love being able to provide high-end medical eye care and give back to the community that helped to raise me. I particularly love performing eye exams for children and those on the autism spectrum/neuro-divergent individuals, those with high anxiety about eye exams, and helping those who suffer from dry eye disease. I also enjoy working with our Veterans and participate with Care in the Community out-of-network exams for the VA, as well as performing consultations for Veterans to achieve service-connected benefits,” said Kelly.
Welcome back Kelly!
