PennDOT Employees Return to OC Office

Employees at the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) are slated to return to the District 1 office in Oil City August 2. The Elm Street facility serves as a home base for approximately 150 workers in the department’s construction, maintenance, and design units. Many of these employees have been working from home as part of COVID mitigation efforts.

“PennDOT employees are excited to get back to their office in Oil City, and to visiting the restaurants and shops they’ve been missing,” said District 1 Executive Brian McNulty.

The return also means additional demand on parking in the department’s lot along Seneca and Duncomb streets. PennDOT asks businesses and community members to be mindful of the signs posted in the lot and refrain from using spots designated for PennDOT employees on weekdays between 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The lot also includes spots for CATA and CareerLink employees, which should be used by those groups only.

The community may continue to make use of the spots marked for public use anytime during the day. Those spots are located along the portion of the lot closest to Seneca Street. The full lot is open to the public during nonbusiness hours.
