Kate Whitling is Vice President of Schake Industries, a graduate of the Leadership Venango Class of 2023, and one of the newest members of the Venango Chamber Board of Directors.
A native to the area, Kate grew up in Seneca and attended Cranberry High School, where she was the valedictorian of her class. She then obtained a bachelor’s degree from Slippery Rock before going on to earn a master’s degree from Penn State.
In addition to serving on the Chamber board, Kate is also very involved in the Chamber’s young professional organization, FLEX, where she serves as Marketing and Community Partnerships Chair.
At Schake, Kate oversees a wide range of operations, from production and project management, to marketing, sales, and business development. Kate says, “Wearing many hats allows me to stay involved in both the strategic and day-to-day operations of the company.”
When asked why she joined the Chamber board, Kate said, “I am excited about being on the Chamber Board because it allows me to actively contribute to the growth and success of local businesses and strengthen our community’s economic development. This role provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with diverse leaders and drive meaningful initiatives that positively impact our region.”
Welcome to the board, Kate!
