Jim Geiger, Vice President for University Advancement at PennWest University, joined the Venango Chamber Board in December.

Originally from Athens, Ohio, Jim now resides in Clarion. In addition to his work with the Chamber, he is also involved in the Clarion County Hotel Tax Committee. In his free time, he practices photography and is working on restoring a 1990 Dodge Dakota convertible truck.

Jim’s responsibilities at PennWest include fundraising, alumni engagement and communications and marketing for all PennWest campuses. He is also the administrator for the Clarion Campus, which means he oversees Intercollegiate Athletics and serves an active role on campus and in the community.

When asked why he decided to serve on the Chamber board, Jim said: “It is important to me, not being from this area, to connect in ways where I can utilize my experiences to help make the Venango region even stronger for future generations. Representing PennWest University and the Venango Campus, I value our role in the region and know that our work is mutually beneficial.”
