I continue to be amazed by the resilience of small business owners. It would be very easy to get bogged down by all the bad news about the economy, but I am fortunate to hear good news from Venango area businesses daily.  I have had more than a few chamber members tell me they are off to a great year, breaking sales records from the past.  In the past few days I have spoken to a number of Human Resources managers in the area and none have spoken of layoffs. Attracting a skilled and dedicated workforce continues to be a challenge.  None of this really surprises me. There has always been opportunity for success.  Those who are prepared for the inevitable change that life brings can find it. I am prepared to encourage anyone who’s interested to expect it!
