Goss Gas Employee Celebrates 50 Years

Gary Witherup started working for RN Goss Gas Products in August of 1971 as Accounting Manager. Back then, Goss Gas was much smaller, and Gary remembers monthly sales were only a fraction of what they’ve grown to today. Initially, Gary worked closely with Elizabeth Goss, wife of RN Goss, who founded the company in 1934. Gary has since worked with three subsequent generations of Gosses: 2nd generation Grant, third generation and current president, Dave, and fourth generation and current assistant general manager, Monika.

Significant company events during Gary’s time include installing the bulk propane plant in the 1970’s, the building of the Goss Gas plant and offices in 1987, and the building of RenovEx’s industrial plant in Barkeyville in 2004. He has seen the family of businesses grow from about 12 employees to over 100 during peak season.

Over the years, Gary’s pivotal role in the company has evolved to include managing a number of special financial projects for Goss Gas, Provanta, and RenovEx. Goss Gas would like to thank Gary for his years of dedication, integrity, service, knowledge, guidance, and friendship. He has truly been a wonderful asset to the business and employees. Congratulations Gary!
