Freedom Wireless has moved to a larger location in the Cranberry Mall.
The wireless service provider has been doing business in the Cranberry Mall for more than 10 years. In 2005, it expanded as a Cellular One dealer in a mall kiosk to a 715-squarefoot store adjacent to The Bon- Ton department store.
This week, Freedom Wireless will reopen in a new storefront in a former crafts shop area directly across from The Bon-Ton.
The business went exclusively with Verizon about three years ago and it is “the largest Verizon Wireless Agent in the Midwest Region,” said district manager Warren Dixon.
“We were recently named a Verizon Wireless Premium Agent … (and) only their best agents get this designation,” Dixon said. “The store has been recognized by Verizon for its outstanding customer service.”
Chad Ellis, a former AT&T agent, has been named manager of the Freedom Wireless store at the mall. He and his wife, Brandy, a teacher at Sugarcreek Elementary School, live in Franklin.
The staff has increased from two to six full-time employees who are trained in the latest wireless systems from home and business.
Freedom Wireless will hold a grand re-opening event on Wednesday.Feedeom
