Franklin Library Celebrates 100 Years

The Franklin Public Library (FPL) enters triple digits this year as it turns 100 years old! Founded in 1894, FPL has had several homes, although its current location at 421 12th Street has been its home since 1921; officially opening their doors on June 17, 1922.

To commemorate 100 years of serving their community, the Franklin Library held a week-long celebration of special events in June. The library hosts many events, including book sales, Teen Reading Lounge, story times for children, and their much-loved Paws 4 A Cause therapy dog reading events.
