First Night ® Oil City Celebrates 25 Years


Oil City Arts Council’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration, First Night ® Oil City, will take place on Sunday, December 31, 2024 from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of this wonderful event and the theme for the gala event is “Silver Bells”.

This fun-filled, family-oriented, non-alcoholic New Year’s Eve festivity will again offer wonderful entertainment at multiple venues about town. The entertainment lineup includes Piano Maniacs Dueling Pianos; the Brandon Rae Band; the Long Road Home bluegrass band; pianists Dennis Geib and Evan Wolfgong; the Touch of Grey Band; the Moe Taters & Gravy Train Band; Holey Jeans; the Butler Clowns; Mr. Kazam Magic Show; the Tree Farm Party Piggies; Bryan Phillips Music; a Community Playhouse, Inc. Photo Booth, Fireworks; and a Drum Circle.

Admission requires the purchase of a First Night admission button. The button cost is $10 and children of ages 10 and under will be admitted free of charge. Button sales will take place at Gates and Burns Realty; the Oil City Library; Transit Arts Gallery & Gifts; Venango Museum; and the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce (weekdays prior to December 22 at the Museum and Chamber).
