The Friends of Drake Well, Inc. recently hired Erin Wincek as their Associate Director. In this role, Erin oversees the nonprofit that supports Drake Well Museum and Park, Historic Pithole City, and McClintock Well #1, including fundraising, grant writing, event planning, and marketing.

She is excited to join the team at Drake Well and told us: “The opportunity to work for the Friends of Drake Well is a dream come true. I’m looking forward to increasing funding and support for the site and given the historic significance of Drake Well and its location on the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail, there is a lot to promote!”

Erin recently moved back to Oil City with her family after a decade away directing public libraries in northwest Pennsylvania. In her free time, she can be found cycling on a local bike trail or hiking in the woods with her dogs.
