Core Goods Featured in Farm Bureau Magazine

In the Spring 2021 edition of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau’s “Positively Pennsylvania” magazine, readers will find a multiple-page feature article of Core Goods, located in Oil City and owned by Chamber Program Manager Ashley Sheffer with Marie and Shaun Alcorn.

The article talks about the business’ option of low-waste shopping, focus on local, and community building, and mentions the 20+ farms and other businesses who supply products for the store.

“It’s so much more than ‘here’s your tomatoes,” Ashley is quoted in the article saying of connecting with customers and local farms. “It’s seeing the people behind it and how hard they’re working and that, at the end of the day, they want what’s best for the community.

Core Goods is a collaboration between Ashley and the Alcorns that opened in September 2018, and is located at 219 Seneca Street in Oil City. Visit positivelypa.com to find issues of the magazine.
