Nominations for Citizen of the Year & 2021 Annual Dinner Update

The Annual Dinner, held in February, is a long-standing tradition of the Venango Chamber, with the celebration of the Citizen of the Year and the Business and Partner of the Year recognition.

“It remains uncertain whether we can hold an in-person event, but if possible and safe, we’ll consider it or a hybrid event, with smaller attendance,” explains Chamber of Commerce President Susan Williams. “Recognizing excellence is important and this would not be a time to overlook those who continue to go above and beyond in our community.”

We are accepting nominations for our Outstanding Citizen Award, one of our most prestigious community recognition awards. The Nominating Committee is looking for Venango County citizens who demonstrate a well-rounded and deep-rooted commitment to family and community. Nominees must be community volunteers with records of extensive and diverse participation in community service and civic involvement, aside from accomplishments directly related to the candidate’s employment.

Those wishing to nominate individuals must submit an official nomination form along with a letter describing the nominee’s background and qualifications for this award. Those having previously nominated candidates for the Outstanding Citizen awards may re-nominate a candidate by sending an updated nomination letter along with a nomination form. Deadline for nominations is November 6. All selections are made without regard to race, color, creed, age or national origin.

Find a nomination form at the Chamber (24 Seneca Street, Oil City) or at venangochamber.org/recognizing-excellence.
