Ashley Zaccari Smith, of Franklin, has been elected vice chairwoman of the Venango County Democratic Committee. She succeeds Dottie Scurry, of Franklin.

Ashley is employed by the Venango County Regional Planning Commission and owns and operates Zaccari Home Inspections. A 2012 Franklin High School graduate, Ashley earned degrees from both Clarion University and Triangle Tech.

Ashley is very active in the community, serving as a volunteer with the Franklin Fine Arts Council, a co-advisor for the Franklin High School Marching Band bandfront teams, and an active member in multiple other groups. She is a 2019 Leadership Venango alumni and is a member of FLEX Young Professionals.
