Drake Well Museum and Park Accepting Applications for Student Interns

Drake Well Museum and Park is accepting applications for its Summer 2025 Museum Internships.

The museum is offering three paid student internships with two offered through Friends of Drake Well, Inc., and the third offered through the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC)’s Keystone Internship Program.

The two internships offered through Friends of Drake Well are for a Museum Education Intern and a Non-Profit Administration Intern. The internships are for post-secondary students and are paid, full-time seasonal positions taking place between May and August 2025, depending on the schedules of the students. Interns will work primarily at Drake Well Museum and Park in Titusville, with one day per week at Historic Pithole City near Pleasantville. More information on these opportunities including position requirements and how to apply is available at drakewell.org/join-and-support-us/employment.

Applications for these two internships are due by February 10.

The third internship is offered exclusively through the PHMC’s Keystone Internship Program and is a Curatorial Internship. The internship is an excellent opportunity for post-secondary students interested in gaining curatorial and archival skills as the intern will work directly with the Drake Well Museum curator. The internship is paid, part-time seasonal, taking place between May and August 2025.

Students can apply online through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at governmentjobs.com/careers/pabureau/jobs/4729457/keystone-internship-at-drake-well-museum-park-curatorial-collections-managem.

Applications for the Keystone Internship position are due by February 9.

All three internships are excellent opportunities for those studying History, Public History, Museum Studies, Archaeology, Anthropology, Education, Sciences (Chemistry, Environmental, etc.), Library Sciences, Non-Profit Administration, or related fields.
