EMPLOYERS: Host Students for Remake Learning Days Event
Remake Learning Days is looking for event hosts in the Northwestern PA region for Remake Learning Days, May 2 through 22.
In May 2024, students in Pennsylvania communities will learn in various local spaces, building essential employability skills for future careers. They’ll explore virtual reality, environmental applications, and unleash their imaginations. During the Remake Learning Days (RLD) festival, students will enhance their creative thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, getting closer to career readiness.
Is your business ready to open its doors for an evening or weekend tour of your facility? Alternatively, would you be interested in hosting a virtual career talk or virtual facility tour during the school day? This would allow educators to engage their K-12 students in career related activities.
If you serve on a community board, also consider hosting an event for families that focuses on one or more of these learning themes: arts, maker activities, outdoor learning, science, technology, or youth voice.
Events can focus on age pre-K through high school. You choose the date, time, place, and age group for your public event. The goal is to create a regional event calendar of over 100+ experiences where parents and caregivers can learn alongside their kids in the evenings and on the weekends, and educators can engage their students during the school day.
Event Host Awards for $250 or $500 are available to offset hosting costs. For more information, contact Kelsi Wilcox Boyles from RIU6 at (814) 226-7103 ext. 5211 or kboyles@riu6.org.
