Help make fresh, local food more accessible in our community! Core Goods, a market located at 2 East First Street in Oil City, recently started accepting SNAP benefits and is inviting businesses to sponsor a monthly matching program.

Each month, the store will have a different sponsor help to double the items that SNAP customers receive. For example, if a customer purchases $20 of food with their SNAP benefits, they can get $20 more of food for free through the matching program.

Core Goods is piloting the program in May and working with several local organizations to get coupons (pictured) out to people throughout the community. They are seeking their first sponsor for June, and sponsors will be promoted throughout the month in all Core Goods SNAP-related marketing.
