Leadership Venango Projects Continue

Though the Leadership Venango Class of 2022 has completed their program and celebrated their graduation, their work in the community is far from over.

Two of the projects created out of the program’s most recent class have continued to develop.

The Venango Speaks Podcast has released a third episode, the first to come out since the Leadership Venango graduates handed the reigns over to the Teen Reading Lounge (TRL) group based out of the Franklin Public Library. This episode, titled Discussing Culture and Diversity In Our Community, featured TRL Facilitator Tasha Manross, TRL Site Coordinator Daidre Green and students: Skyler Green (age 13), Ryder Mitchell (age 13), Nicole Earnhardt (age 15), and Bella Malliard (age 12). You can listen to the episode on your favorite podcast platform.

Another group has installed a Little Free Library at UPMC northwest in Seneca. The library is open to anyone and is already stocked with books. This group is still working on getting an additional library installed in Justus Park.

Leadership Venango will kick off their fifth year and a class of 16 at the end of this month with a 2-day retreat at Whitehall Camp and Conference Center in Emlenton.
