Following a one year hiatus due to COVID-19, First Night ® Oil City will make a jubilant return on December 31st from 5:30 to 11 p.m. This fun-filled, family-oriented, non -alcoholic New Year’s Eve festivity coordinated by the Oil City Arts Council will serve as the culminating event of our year-long celebration of Oil City’s Sesquicentennial Celebration.
The gala First Night event will include two fireworks displays, an array of live entertainment at multiple venues about town, outdoor bonfires, beautiful ice sculptures, hat-making, a drum circle, and a variety of children’s events which will include face -painting, crafting, clowns, balloon characters, and storytelling.
Admission requires the purchase of a First Night admission button. The button cost is $10 and children 5 and under are admitted free of charge. Button sales will take place at the Oil City Public Library, Transit Arts Gallery & Gifts, Karma Coffee Company, Venango Museum, and the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce.
