As the summer has drawn to a close, we are grateful for the many events that brought our community together. Festivals and gatherings dotted the landscape over recent months. Each took a significant investment of volunteer hours.
One of the Chamber’s newest members, the Fertigs Community Center, shared that this Labor Day they celebrated their 61st year of the Old Home Day (OHD) Festival. The car show, craft vendors, children’s carnival and food choices have continued to grow thanks to the many volunteers who have helped make this event a success. They remind us that those who attend and participate are critical to the success of events like these.
We appreciate the Fertigs Community Center, it’s members, and all of those who contribute to making our region such a special place to live. Please join us in supporting them and others as they already begin planning for next year!
