The Transportation Hub in Oil City is nearing completion and Crawford Area Transportation Authority (CATA) is looking forward to moving into this new, upgraded space.

About four years ago, CATA took over all county transportation and since then, buses have been stored outside and there has not been adequate space for all their operations.

“This is a major upgrade for our entire workforce in Venango County. We’ll have proper indoor vehicle storage, standard maintenance, and the opportunity for drivers to take a break indoors,” said Tim Geibel, General Manager at CATA. “We’re excited to continue our great partnership with the Venango County Commissioners and PennDOT, and thankful for the work they have done to make this happen.”

CATA is much more than a bus making scheduled stops, they provide a variety of services necessary in our rural area where we have many seniors living. “This new space will help them continue to grow and fill transportation needs in our region,” said Jason Ruggerio, County Planning Commission Director.
