USA Choice won the bid for three blocks of newly auctioned spectrum in Venango and Clarion counties, competing against Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Dish, and a variety of cable providers.
“While we are very proud to be able to effectively compete in this complicated and expensive auction, we note a level of disappointment that our communities are so lightly regarded by the major cellular providers that we were not only able to compete, but actually win blocks of this important wireless infrastructure,” President Ray Schwabenbauer commented.
For much of the past 25 years, USA Choice has been the sole wireless broadband provider in our region, creating an alternative to the cable providers and working with community leaders to bring internet access to families and businesses that suffer from the inability to fully participate in the use of critical Internet services.
Ray went on to explain: “Our commitment to our region is unwavering and we look forward to working with community and educational leaders to ensure that citizens enjoy the same benefits of the digital technology that are so readily available in most urban areas throughout the country.”
