Summer seems so very far away, especially as we are spending our days shoveling snow. It will be here sooner than we can imagine, though! Among our favorite things at the Chamber (and we have a lot of favorite things) is welcoming our intern back for the summer.

While we may think we have plenty of time, college students are currently securing their summer internships. Now is the time to consider if you can pay an intern or if you will want to explore various funding opportunities.

It is also when you should be considering what work or projects are suited for a college student and how many hours a week will be ideal for an extra employee.

The Chamber has been a PHEAA Work Study employer in the past, receiving a significant reimbursement of an intern’s wages. We are often asked how to find an intern and are happy to share some of the ways we’ve met students in the past.
