Matt Edwards recently became the new owner of State Street Furniture in Oil City. He purchased the well-established business from his friend Dave Hippenstiel. While not much has changed, customers may find it easier to navigate the store now.

After 25 years in the business, Hippenstiel decided to sell, and Edwards took the opportunity to continue the successful venture.

Matt also acquired the Sleep Shoppe business across the street and offers moving services. Both State Street Furniture and the Sleep Shoppe are open on weekdays and Saturdays.

“Being in here 23 years I know how things work on the front end of the business with customers,” Edwards said.
