The Oil City Main Street Program has begun preparing a voluntary design guide that will be tailored to Oil City’s three National Register-listed historic districts and other historic properties in Oil City.

The public is invited to participate in an anonymous survey which takes about 10-15 minutes to complete.  The survey will be open until August 15 at:

surveymonkey.com/r/OilCityDGSurvey.

Paper surveys are also available at the Oil Region Alliance, City Hall, Karma Coffee Co. and the Oil City Library. The input of all who live in, work in, or visit Oil City periodically or frequently as well as former residents is most welcome!

The finished guide will be a helpful resource to property owners and others about the treatment and maintenance of historic buildings. No laws or regulations are proposed; use of the design guide will be voluntary.
