Kat Thompson Attends Year 3 of IOM

In August, Kat Thompson completed her third year at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organization Management (IOM), a four-year nonprofit leadership training program.

“Institute graduates are recognized across the country as leaders in their industries and organizations,” said Raymond P. Towle, IOM, CAE, the U.S. Chamber’s vice president of Institute for Organization Management. “These individuals have the knowledge, skills, and dedication necessary to achieve professional and organizational success in the dynamic association and chamber industries.”

Kat attended IOM with other nonprofit leaders at the Villanova site for her third year of the weeklong program, taking 24 hours of course work, including classes on strategic planning, finance, building strategic partnerships, volunteer development, leadership and ethics, and business leadership in education.

“Over the past three years, I have gained invaluable insights and greatly expanded my professional network within the chamber and association sectors,” Kat remarked. “I continue to apply my IOM experience to drive growth and success for our Chamber, enhancing the services we offer to members in the Venango Area. I am committed to completing this journey and look forward to earning my IOM credentials in 2025.”
