Chamber staff members, Kat Thompson and Ashley Smith recently attended a Dale Carnegie Immersion Seminar in Meadville.

We asked them to reflect on their experience and here’s what they had to say: “Having attended three days of concentrated hands-on training, we recognize the importance of being together physically in the classroom, and interacting with the facilitator and classmates.

Through practicing public speaking and going through several exercises drawing on enthusiasm from classmates, we were stretched outside our comfort zones in demonstrating the course objectives.

The results are that we walked away feeling more confident in our leadership and communication skills, and how to better relate to others.

We’re excited to continue practicing and applying these techniques to better connect with those in our network and grow in our leadership journeys.”
