Galaxy Federal Credit Union Announces CEO Change

After 32 years of building Galaxy Federal Credit Union into the community staple that it is, President/CEO Linda Lusher has announced that she’ll be stepping down. Over her tenure as the Credit Union’s leader, she has moved locations and converted it to be a community credit union serving all of Venango County. Under her guidance, assets have grown to $60 million, loans to over $30 million, and membership to nearly 5,000.

If you ask Linda, she will credit the strong leadership of its volunteers and the teamwork of the employees. However, if you know Linda, it was her perseverance, leadership skills, and willingness to be a team player as well as a leader that made this possible.

The Board of Directors is happy to announce that Donald “Chip” Pfohl will be the next President/CEO of Galaxy Federal Credit Union. Chip is a graduate of Penn State University. He and his wife Janene moved to Franklin in 1993 and they raised their two children here – both of whom are now college graduates and enjoying their lives.

Chip has worked in the financial services sector for 30 years. He joined Galaxy FCU in March of 2023, and the Board is confident that he will be a great leader.

Linda would like to thank the volunteers, employees, members, and Board of Directors for allowing her to be their President/ CEO. She said, “I am grateful that this community accepted me, mentored me, and allowed Galaxy as well as myself to become a part of the region.” She plans to spend more time with her family and friends, travel, volunteer, and finally, pursue hobbies and activities that interest her.

Congratulations to Linda and Chip!
