Chamber Co-Hosts Cross Creek Holiday Mixer

We want to express our sincere gratitude to all our amazing members who joined us for the Annual Holiday Mixer at Cross Creek Resort.

This incredible event was co-hosted with our friends from the Franklin, Meadville, and Titusville Chambers, and together, we had a wonderful evening!

A big shoutout to Cross Creek Resort for their exceptional service that made the mixer a huge success.

Ribbon Cuttings and Mixer Celebrations

We recently celebrated the Grand Opening of Oil City Art & Frame located at 211 Seneca Street in Oil City, held a mixer with the Oil City Arts Council at the Transit Arts Gallery and Gifts, and joined the Oil Region Alliance, in partnership with ARTS Oil City, to welcome three new businesses at their studios in the National Transit Building.

Thank you to our members for supporting these events!

Recent Mixer & Ribbon Cutting Photos

The Chamber was thrilled to be a part of three members events in the last month. A mixer at the Barrow-Civic Theatre was held in May to celebrate their 30th Anniversary, another was held down the street the following week at Victorian City Art & Frame, and then we celebrated the Grand Opening of Legends of Seneca with their staff, owners, and the community!

CHAMBER MEMBERSHIP 101 Networking Opportunity: Host a Mixer

Would you like to meet local business owners, or introduce your new business, products, or services to the community? Hosting an after hours mixer is a great way to invite people from the business community into your network and give them the chance to learn more about what you do.

As a mixer host, you’ll receive event promotion and registration from the Chamber. We’ll answer your questions and provide you with advice on hosting a successful event. For the event, you’ll provide the facility and hors d’oeuvres and beverages (plan for 50+).

Plus, check out the suggestions below to make your event a success:
• Attend other mixers prior to your event!
• Make a brief presentation about your business.
• Introduce your employees at the mixer, involve them in greeting and welcoming guests.
• Give away small promotional items & unique door prizes.
• Get business cards and follow-up to further connections.

Contact us at (814) 676-8521 or chamber@venangochamber.org to begin planning your chamber business after-hours mixer.

Getting Back to Mixers with the Venango Chamber

The Chamber has been easing back into more in-person events this year, and with that comes our popular Business After Hours mixers. We saw great success in our networking events in 2019 and are happy to see an uptick in attendance now in 2022. We hosted our first mixer of the year at Kingdom Guard Financial Group, which was a great event.

We are excited to announce two mixers in May: Voyten Electric will host a mixer on May 5, and the Venango Museum will host one on May 19. Find flyers for both mixers as inserts in this newsletter. We encourage our members to come to both upcoming events for the networking opportunities and connections to be made.

So, why host a mixer? Inviting other chamber members into your business is a great way to meet someone new, grow your circle of influence, find new opportunities, generate awareness for your business and connect with other professionals. Contact the Chamber today to learn more about hosting a mixer.

Have you never attended a mixer? We’re happy to help with that as well! We can help you make introductions and encourage you to bring a guest along, if that makes you feel more comfortable. We published an article earlier this year with networking tips, which can be viewed at venangochamber.org/business-tip-of-themonth-networking.

RSVP for either of the upcoming May mixers by calling Tessa at (814) 676-8521 or emailing tbyham@venangochamber.org.
