Mara Foster-Grey Earns Master’s Degree

The Venango County Association for the Blind (VCAB) proudly announces that Case Manager, Mara Foster-Gray, recently graduated from Salus University with a Master’s in Vision Rehabilitation Therapy.

Vision rehabilitation therapists (VRTs) instruct persons with vision impairments to use compensatory skills and assistive technology to enable them to live safe, productive, and interdependent lives. VRTs work in areas that enhance vocational opportunities, independent living, and the educational development of persons with vision loss and may include working in center-based or itinerant settings.

Due to her unwavering commitment to the community, eye health, and the ability of visually impaired and blind individuals to be independent, Mara and VCAB are proud to be able to provide the community with this incredible service. Mara plans to continue through the certification process to further her career in this field. There are approximately 16 certified VRTs in the entire state of Pennsylvania.

Congratulations Mara!
