Independence Health System Expands Women’s Health to Seneca


Independence Health System recently expanded its women’s health services to the offerings at 2 Park Way, Seneca.

Joining the location from Women’s Care Associates is Jayme Baumcratz, RN, MSN, FNP-C, IBCLC, who has more than 20 years of experience in nursing, including specialized training as a board-certified lactation consultant. Jayme received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clarion University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Chicago.

Women’s Care Associates in Seneca offers a range of comprehensive gynecological care, prenatal care, reproductive healthcare services, cancer screenings, STD testing, adolescent puberty consultations and more.

On-site lactation consultations are among the specialized services being offered, providing new mothers with techniques and support related to breastfeeding challenges. This includes assessing newborns for ankyloglossia, as well as diagnosing and treating mastitis, breast candidiasis, and clogged mammary ducts in women.

In addition to Women’s Care Associates, Independence Health System offers a number of outpatient services in Seneca, including primary care with walk-in hours Monday – Friday, from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., dermatology, cardiology, endocrinology, occupational health, and walk -in laboratory services.
