The Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (APTAC) is pleased to announce that Aaron Ritsig has achieved certification as Certified Procurement Professional (CPP.) APTAC’s CPP Certification signifies extensive knowledge and experience in the wide range of subject areas required to provide comprehensive and effective assistance to businesses interested in government contracting. Mr. Ritsig was required to complete over 85 hours of training and demonstrate capability in thirty-four different topics to be eligible for certification. Not only has he shown an in-depth understanding of the Federal Acquisitions Regulations, proposal preparation, post awards administration, and other issues, he has demonstrated the ability to teach and guide small business owners whether they are newcomers to the government marketplace or more experienced contractors seeking specialized help.
APTAC is the professional organization of and for 97 APEX Accelerators awarded under the Department of Defense. APTAC supports the APEXs by providing comprehensive training opportunities and certifications, and critical updates on ever changing procurement processes across federal agencies.
Aaron Ritsig works locally as a Government Contracting Specialist at the Northwest Commission. The Commission is in Oil City and serves as a regional-based resource for business and economic development as well as community development and planning to eight counties in Northwest Pennsylvania including: Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Forest, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, and Warren.
