The Scenic Rivers YMCA, located in Oil City, has announced Jesse Kelley as its new Chief Executive Officer, who officially assumed the role on November 17, 2023, succeeding Thomas Spence, who announced his retirement in October.
With 12 years of experience as the Clarion County YMCA Branch Director, Jesse brings valuable expertise. During his tenure, he successfully fundraised for and built a new community YMCA facility in Clarion County in 2019.
Jesse is a graduate of Slippery Rock University, holding Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Exercise Science. He began his career as a fitness specialist at the Grove City YMCA and later served as a strength and conditioning coach for Division 1 and 2 Universities.
A strong supporter of the YMCA’s mission to strengthen communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, Jesse Kelley is dedicated to building upon the Scenic Rivers YMCA’s foundation and leading the organization into a new era of growth and innovation.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jesse as the new Scenic Rivers YMCA CEO,” said Greg Lander, Chair of the Association’s Board of Directors. “Jesse Kelley is a proven leader deeply committed to the YMCA’s mission. We are confident that Jesse will lead our organization to continued success in the years to come.”
Jesse is active in his community and volunteers as a member of the Clarion Rotary Club and at Immaculate Conception Church and School in Clarion. He and his wife Brehan live in Clarion with their two children, Declan and Jax.
Congratulations Jesse!
