A mural by local artist Deac Mong was recently installed in the waiting area of the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Northwest. The Northwest Hospital Foundation funded the commission of this wall-size oil on canvas mural featuring the natural beauty of our area and giving peace and hope to patients and visitors. Animals and inspirational words are hidden among the details to make it even more interactive and engaging.

Cancer Center staff celebrated the installation by posing with the new mural.
