VenangoREADY Certifies 75 Designees from Local Schools

As the 22-23 school year wrapped up, the Chamber certified 75 VenangoREADY and ForestREADY designees from 7 local schools (CLA: 3, Cranberry: 31, Forest: 3, Franklin: 5, Oil City: 5, Titusville: 11, Valley Grove: 17). Chamber staff, along with a board member or business rep, visited the schools to speak with students and present a certificate and graduation cord to graduating seniors who earned the designation.

To receive this designation, students had to complete a checklist of criteria based on the 6 essential skills of the program: Work Ethic, Tactfulness & Manners, Communication, Teamwork, Critical Thinking & Problem Solving, and Understanding Supervision & World of Work. Through the program we also look for ways connect employers and educators to provide students with meaningful career experiences.

As we continue to grow the program, we’ll work to build a network with alumni to help connect them to the local business community and share resources that will further their success in the workforce.

Congratulations to the class of 2023 and the VenangoREADY & ForestREADY Designees!
