Venango Technology Center Holds Employer Appreciation Banquet

Venango Technology Center (VTC) held their annual Employer Appreciation Banquet in May, with over 200 attendees from regional businesses and schools.

The banquet is held to recognize the valued employers that offer job opportunities to the students through their co-op program, as well as to help advise the direction of education at VTC.

At the time of the banquet, there were 60 students placed at 40 different employers, with the students earning a total of over $212,000 up to that point. The students are on track to earn over $250,000 by the end of the school year.

Historically, about 70% of the school’s co -op students continue their employment after graduation. The co-op program, coordinated by Bob Moore, is a wonderful opportunity for students to hone the skills they have learned while allowing employers to make sure they are a good fit for their workforce.
