Around 75 guests gathered at Wanango Country Club on April 28 to hear from Venango County Judge and Commissioner hopefuls. Moderated by Matt Deal, Chamber Board Chairman and owner of Morrison Funeral Home, the candidates for judge each introduced themselves and answered a question about ensuring equal opportunity in Venango County.

The commissioner candidates were asked questions ranging from their opinions on County budget matters, to addressing blight, and retaining youth in our region.

All of the participants were enthusiastic and provided the audience with great feedback to the Chamber’s questions.

The following candidates for Court of Common Pleas Judge were in attendance: Justin Fleeger, Matthew Kirtland, and Greg Merkel. The following candidates for Commissioner were also in attendance: Chip Abramovic, Mathew Beith, Sam Breene, Ken Bryan, Bill Moon, and Jim Speth.
