In January, WQLN NPR celebrated 50 years of providing public radio programming in Erie.
Airing their first broadcast in 1973, WQLN has been a staple in the region ever since. They installed translators in Meadville, Chautauqua, Warren, Titusville, and Oil City in 1985. In 1999, they began broadcasting 24 hours a day. Programs over the years have included: All Things Considered, Five Mornings, Radio Reader, and more.
Congratulations to WQLN and their partners on this wonderful accomplishment!
