By Susan Williams, Chamber President/CEO
Recently, I have had the pleasure of having several members request a meeting with me, to simply connect. We’ve met at their place or ours, and have spent as little as 30 minutes or as long as a couple hours together.
In each case, these meetings have been focused on the member business and gives us a chance to explore how things are going, what challenges we may be able to address together, the good things happening that need celebrated or built upon, and how the Chamber plays a role in addressing these. Almost always, we exchange contacts that we realize would benefit each of us meeting.
At the Chamber, we are continually meeting new people and learning of new resources that can be valuable to share. While we do this via email, our website, and newsletter, nothing is as impactful as a personal conversation. And while I do my best to keep up with what is going on in our member businesses and organizations, I can miss important things you may want me, my staff and other members to know.
If a call or Zoom works best, I am available for those, but if an in-person works for you, let me know and I’ll buy the coffee (tea, soda, or your preference)!
