In the early months of 2021, well into the pandemic, it seemed fitting to recognize the exceptional efforts we had witnessed, by businesses and individuals throughout our community. Rather than naming one Business of the Year and Partner of the Year, we invited nominations for community heroes.

The Chamber was thrilled with the response, which demonstrated a very grateful community. It can be easy to take for granted the selfless, hardworking people in our lives. It was humbling to get to meet the more than 100 nominees and inspiring to share their stories. We realize that many went unnamed.

If you missed seeing our heroes when we shared them, you can still see them at venangochamber.org/venango-heroes. This is one more opportunity to get to know more members of the community and to see why Venango is such a great place to live and work. We’d encourage you to always watch for the “helpers” in the community and let them know you noticed.
