Team Foster, a nonprofit organization dedicated to aiding and rehabilitating injured combat veterans, is bringing their fundraising to Venango County on Saturday, November 7, with the first Foster 100. In the memory of Captain Erick Foster, an Oil City native who was killed in Iraq in 2007, they will be holding a 100 mile bicycling event from Oil City to the University of Pittsburgh.
Team Foster raises money to fund service dogs for local veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury and other disabilities. With donations and sponsorship, Team Foster offsets the significant cost of a service dog to our Veterans. If you are interested in learning how to support the Foster 100, please contact Bob Kellner at bkellner@kellfire.com.
