Zonta Club and Set Free Movement Will Host Community Conversation

Two local groups are trying to educate the community on the dangers of human trafficking and how to be more aware of and help put a stop to this issue.

A community conversation, hosted by the Oil City/Franklin Zonta Club and the Venango County Chapter of the Set Free Movement, will be held on October 8 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Oil City YWCA.

Dr. Kevin Austin, the founder of the Set Free movement, will join the groups, and any interested community members, at the event on October 8.

Julia Allman, a member of the group, said: “We as community leaders need to educate ourselves on this issue in all its dimensions, and to work alongside the local agencies that are already seeking to deliver much-needed aid to those who are in need.”
