Venango County is now home to a lasting symbol of history and community pride with the installation of its “Bells Across Pennsylvania” piece, part of the statewide America250PA initiative leading up to the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026.

Now on display at the Oil Region Venango Campus in Oil City, the bell was designed by local artist and Oil Region Alliance staff member, Raven Nespor, and reflects the story and spirit of Venango County.
As part of a larger effort placing one uniquely designed bell in each Pennsylvania county, the project highlights local heritage while connecting communities across the Commonwealth.
Sponsored and hosted locally by the Oil Region Alliance, the installation represents more than public art, it’s a celebration of collaboration, creativity, and shared history.
As excitement builds toward America’s semiquincentennial, the Venango County bell stands as a meaningful reminder of the region’s past, present, and future.
