Updates From Oil Region Library Assoc.

ORLA Goes Fine-Free

ORLA is going fine-free beginning September 1. In order to enhance access and encourage additional use, the local libraries will no longer collect overdue fees. There will still be fees for unreturned and damaged materials in addition to hot spot rentals and loans from other libraries. This means users can check out items from their shared collection of over 100,000 materials without the extra worry about late fees. Happy reading!

Upcoming Beehive Meetings

The NWPA Innovation Beehive Network is coming to Venango County. Have an idea that you want to turn into a business? Already have a business or organization that you want to take to the next level? Come find out about the connections available through area universities to help with all aspects of your business ventures.

The students of the Innovation Entente Lab (IEL) will be in to talk to you about your idea and explain how the Beehive can help. Open meetings are scheduled for September 30 and October 28 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Oil City Library, and October 14 and November 11 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Franklin Library.
